One of the first pubs I went to after moving to Vermont. This is
the place I learned to play Cribbage and have made some good friends
there as well. In the summer yuou can sit out back and they sometimes
hire an accoustic guitarist for entertainment.
They have the best burger and fries in the state, bar none. Try
the Thrush Burger!

This is the place where vermont history was made. The Thrush is
the oldest continually run pub in the state, if not the country.
It isn't actually on State St., but up the street that runs
along the west side of the state house.
Good drinks and pub fare, along with intellegent conversation
and debates. Although it has been awhile since I've been
in the Thrush, My local representative says that it is still the
political hotspot it has always been.
