Specials: Dinner for two starts JANUARY 6, 2003 and continues
every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the winter (excluding
Presidents' week). The package includes appetizer, salad,
entree and dessert for two people at $49 plus tax and gratuity.
For $59, the deal includes a bottle of wine.

General Information:
Built in 1783, the Sudbury Inn is a restaurant and traditional
country inn with casually elegant dining in a charming small
town location. Dine fireside, enjoy the views streetside on
the all-weather porch, or take in the authentic tin ceilings
and photographs of early Bethel in our newly renovated front
dining room.
Our well trained and experienced staff will present entrees
such as Roasted Long Island Duckling with a maple blueberry glace,
seven bone Rack of Lamb and a New England Seafood Sampler. All
meals are thoughtfully prepared by Executive Chef Peter Bodwell.

This was supposed to be a really nice place! Dinners ranged from
$13 to $20. Here is run-down of happenings:
Atmosphere was pleasant: quite and dimmed lighting.
The food was good (comparing this restaurant to ones in its
league)
The service was .... well for lack of a better word .... BAD!
Our glasses were continually empty; there was a LONG wait on
the bread; only several appetizers were available; then
something happened that blew my mind: I got the check!
I was charged for a different dinner than the one I had initially
ordered! So, when the waitress comes around again (a good while
later), I pointed this out. Her response was that I had ordered
the more expensive plate! I know I ordered the lesser plate
because my wife and I had made a comment about the dish. I even
pointed to it on the menu when I ordered it! Both dishes were
steaks. Hey, I see a steak in front of me and I eat it! So,
