Just fiound this little Jem of a restaurant. The "German"
food i had brought me back to the many years I had traveled Germany, The
wait staff was fantastic, the Head Chef (Richard Conti - if I remember
correctly) had presented himself at our table to ask if our food was
cooked to perfection. A Snobby place this is not. It was very elegantly
decorated from the tables to the stain glass windows. Small yet tasteful.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for its Hometown feel and
its Ero fair... Its a nice night out. And if you have the opportunity
to visit when you have the chills, try sitting near the open fire. Its
a real nice touch, NewEngland/Europe. Wonderful. And dont forget
the Harbour view.... Breath taking.Brian Quaglia.

Have been to redlefsen's about 20 times, being a resident of Bristol,
it's convenient and very good. I've NEVER had a bad or disappointing
meal or experience there. Service is proper, friendly, and they don't
rush you. I do believe he (walter) could lower his prices 2-3 dollars
per meal, and still be very profitable. But it is Good food.

I'm going to make this simple. It is now 2006 and this place is great!

Redlefsens is ok. We take guests from the local university there. Fairly
reliable food, the steak was good. But it is not very culinarily adventurous.

Redlefsen's has moved to a new location and changed hands...it
certainly shows. What was once a favorite dining spot--worth
driving to--has disappointed twice, and we won't give it another
chance. On the first occasion, our reservation was lost and we
were kept waiting an inordinate amt. of time to be seated. It was
particuliarly disturbing because we were treating a close friend
for dinner. The dinner was mediocre and no complementary wine
or beer was offered for the long wait which was not our fault. On
the second occasion, we opted to choose off the bistro menu and
ate in the bar area. Apparently, the black angus steak sandwich
cannot possibly be the same black angus steak served in the dining
roon as an entree. It was so gristle-y that it was inedible. My
husband asked for a substitution and opted for a hamburger. Much
better, but again, we don't feel comfortable trying our luck
at Redlefsen's again.
