We go to Nakatos every time we're close to Springfield. We've even been known to drive there just for dinner from lake of the ozarks. We think its the best japanese we've ever had. I also think the chefs are the most personable there too. I always get the shrimp and chicken and its always good. The sauces are some of the best i've had. wish they bottled them and sold them. Will continue to go there whenever we can.

I have been to several Nakatos restaurants located in Charlotte and Atlanta and thisis by far the best! Ususally I eat on sundays and even though its is almost always packed, service is excellent. I would recomemend this restuarant to anyone with an affinity for Japanese cusines

The BEST japanese food in Springfield, Missouri. Chefs prepare food with a show at the tables that hold about 12 people. Very personable. Kids and adults alike love it. Chefs even tend to remember repeat customers. A new sushi bar with little boats carrying trays of sushi to the customer has been put in along with expansion for additional seating. Service is great but you may have to wait a while to enjoy especially on weekend. They will take reservations. A must to see.

This is a great place to take the kids. Normally have a bit of a wait, but the show and food is well worth it. I normally get the steak and chicken meal. I love the sauces they provide with the meals. The chefs are great entertainers also. You get sat when they have enough to fill a table which holds about 12 people, so you most likely will set with people you won't know.

This restaurant such as Nakato i good but i do highly recommend Hinodi On National St And it's close for others that live by That comes in handy definately try it.

Although it is not cheap, this is my favorite restaurant. Diners are seated in groups while a chef puts on a cooking show. The food is superb and the entire dining experience is very entertaining. I had more food than what I could possibly eat. The adjacent sushi bar is the best in town. Whether you prefer steak, seafood (including jumbo scallops) or other dishes...Nakato's is sure to please.

Over priced for the small portions you receive, you are sharing with strangers that are all squeezed in around you at the same table. If you want to go for the show, the cooks try to impress, but other than that it was nothing special. We sat at a table with 3 small children and their parents, elbow to elbow. I wouldn't even recommend this restaurant for families with small children. I won't return.

I have been 4 times. The service and food is good. What makes this place good is the experience. The chefs throw knives around and make flaming volcanoes on the grill in front of you. The appetizers are great, from the Sushi to the raw beef (forgot what it is called), which is awesome. If you like steak, you have got to try the raw beef. Apparently, it comes from young calves that have been hand massaged every day until slaughter, and sliced into thin, wonderful slices of the best beef I have ever had. If you like beef, then the only question is can you handle eating it raw. I am not a Japanese expert by any means, but definately recommend Nakato's to anyone. Large groups are accepted, and present a lot of fun too!!! Great for birthdays and other parties.
