Not bad for a chain. They have a modest selection of fish, much of which
is quite fresh. But it's still a chain and falls short of a quality
fish house.

Friendly, good service. Lots of seafood variety. Food is well prepared.
A fine restaurant.

I've eaten here a couple times... the first time, it was lousy.
I swore I'd never come back. The fish didn't taste fresh,
the service felt too "corporate" and the table smelt
like it'd been cleaned with a dirty rag.

That said, my second visit was much better!!! The oysters on the
half shell were so good, I ordered seconds. And the fish sandwich
my lunch mate ordered was tasty, too. But the chowder was so-so.
Stick with the oysters!

Well, let's see; this was our third visit to McGrath's Sea Food
House and inspite of my last review, the place has returned to
favor. I went for the fire grilled shrimp and scallops (on a wooden
stock no less) and Mom enjoyed her Dover Sole. Didn't take much
home except the additional baked potato that came with my dinner
(has rice, too and I can only take so much starch in my diet). Even
on a Saturday night the wait was a short one and we had the best service
person so far, Donna (who, by the way, is married to Dave as she
told us). A friendly atmosphere, lots of seemingly happy people
enjoying their seafood. Hmm, it seems that the McGrath's in South
Medford (is there really such a place on the map) has found a winning
formula...

Second visit, not as happy this time around. We both ordered salads,
her's was much better than mine (Oregon Pear vs Thai Chicken).
We both ordered a cup of clam chowder, very good but heavy on the
potato...

The Medford McGrath's Fish House serves good food to a lot of people.
Whenever we are in Medford, we always make it a point to stop for
dinner and usually enjoy what we order. Part of a ten store chain,
the Medford McGrath's offers fresh fish, prime rib, steaks,
chicken and pasta as well as some pretty interesting hamburgers.
The menu also includes some local beers, so if that is what you
like, McGrath's has something nice to offer.

Not as good as some of the McGrath's around the state. Service
is slow and the fish quality is not what it should be. Having said
that, I still go there because it is a wonderful value. A few changes
and it would be the top seafood restaurant in town.
