Great food, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. What
more could you want for under $5. If you have not tried Dixons, your missing
out.

Great chili, uniquely presented in a season-your-own context.
Try the "Spread", chili atop quality tamales. Dixon's was one
of Harry Truman's favorite luncheon spots. Ambiance is formica
1950's hometown cafe. Friendly service. A visit you'll remember.

Chili on a plate? A little unusual. The atmosphere was definately
old fashioned. Unless you know what their chili is all about,
go with the all-you-can-eat tacos. Great price for a lot of food.

Dixon's is, unfortunately, not one of my favorites. It offers
a soup kitchen type of atmosphere and an above average bowl of
chili. It's not a bad place to stop on a cold winter afternoon,
if you need something to warm you up. The restaurant is reasonably
clean and the service is amiable but, definitely not the place
to take a date or even for a family dinner.
