El Maguey is a chain restaurant that specializes in authentic
Mexican fare. The service is always good as is the food with plentiful
portions. Free and plentiful chips and salsa are provided while
you await your entree.

Aside from BBQ, the KC area has some great Mexican joints. But
I can't qualify these chain stores as "great". They serve the
standard fare and don't seem to have any unique house flavor.
If your looking for a place for a group event or don't want to make
the trip downtown, it's a good choice. But, nothing to sing about(hold
the Ole`s).

So it's not the fanciest building. The service is more than adequate.
You can't even finish your basket of chips prior to them serving
the entree. The food is authentic and taste even better with their
homemade "hot-hot sauce.
