Great cheap eats in Dogtown. This is good old Mexican food with great Margaritas. In St. Louis Italian food rules, this is one of the few Mexican resturants that stands out.

Absolutely the best Mexican food in St. Louis bar-none. The margaritas are out of this world (and great for a cheap, easy buzz) and the food selection is great. There's something even the most picky eaters will enjoy. You'll definitely leave stuffed. If you're a spicy food fan, try their green salsa (you'll have to request it - it's only for the brave).

The staff are the best I've seen in any Tex-Mex place. The food is great, specially the fajitas. The margaritas are amazing and the atmosphere typically Tex-Mex, busy yet fun. You might be a little disappointed if your looking for "authentic" mexican food, but this is as close as you can get to it in St.Louis. Definitely worth a visit.

This place rocks, for both eating and drinking. Usually comfortably crowded, the food is fantastic whether its "authentic" or not. Clientele is as friendly as the service, and the service is quick and polite. Never a long wait even if there's aline, great for lunch or dinner.

One of the better Mexican restaurants in town. It is closer to being authentic Mexican food than most of the chain Tex-Mex joints we have here.

in my opinion the best Mexican in St. Louis although it is not necessarily authentic. however, the fajitas are UNBEATABLE. If you eat them here you should never even try ordering them anywhere else because you'll be disappointed. Margaritas great also.

A friend introduced me to Chuy's, and I'm glad she did! This is a great TEX-MEX place. The portions are very large. The homemade chips and salsa are outstanding. The service is very attentive and you don't feel rushed eventhough it's served quick. It's a small place, but very inviting.

Chuy's is really good. One of my favorite places to go! I usually get their vegetarian enchiladas (no, I'm not a vegetarian) and they are really good. Nachos are yummy. Chips made fresh and salsa is good! Great margaritas - try the raspberry!

I go to many mexican/southwestern restaurants. This one is very much the same as the others. Each time I have been to Chuey's I have enjoyed it. It is small, unassuming, busy, but has good service and always decent food.

After living in Texas for over 10 years, my husband and I know good Tex-Mex when we taste it, and Chuy's got it all ... lively ambience, quick-to-please wait staff, perfectly blended margaritas, hot-off-the-grill marinated steak fajitas, and, if you're lucky, home-made flan to top it all off. Could learn a thing or two about making salsa from Chevy's, but the warm chips make it up for it.
I rate Chuy's the best Tex-Mex in town!
