We have eaten here many times for we live on the island. It is a nice
place to meet people and have a good meal. It is a bit loud but over
all the service was good and the food was as well. We would recomend
it to any one but if your looking for a romantic setting this is
not the place.

Loved it! It's actually located in one of the most romantic
(and affordable)hotels in West Maui. They also do an afternoon
wine and cheese "thing" in the afternoons. Suggestions
would include the tequila shrimp and the lamb, but the menu changes
everynight.

David Paul's is a fancy hip place, but that's about it. It's overpriced
and overrated. The atmosphere is very loud, unromantic and cold.
Food is of okay quality but presented without love. You can't
help but getting the idea that not too much work went into it. It
definitely didn't live up to our (maybe too high) expectations.

Overpriced for what you receive in food quantity and service.
Very showy, quality food; and a place you send visitors.

I loved this resturant my brothers ex girlfriend worked there
so we got the employee rate. I highly recommend the crusted Ahi
it's the best tasting thing on Maui.

We ate at David and Paul's in October of 1999 and had a wonderful meal. They
have had write ups in "Bon Appetit" and won several awards. They have wonderful
appetizers and soups. They always have a "Chef's Nightly Selections" which
consist of fresh, local fish. These are always good items to choose for dinner.
The Tahitian Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee is a must. The service was just ok.
This is the only reason I didn't rank it a 5 star.
