The first time I was in Palo Alto, I was taken here for a business
lunch. I found it to be a very good resturant. They offered a lunch
special of a personal pizza, salad & drink. I found it to be a very
good deal. The atmosphere is very nice -- especially being from
the midwest. Try it if you're out that way.

If you can't make it to Zachary's in Berkeley, then this is a good
alternative for Chicago style pizza. It has a Chicago gimmick
going with lot's of Chicago memorabilia hanging on the walls.
In reality, however, some of the foo-foo pizzas here would make
Richard Daley turn over in his grave (Sr., that is, not Jr.). The
more standard pizzas, however, are quite good. I recommend the
"Fridge" which is basically a combination pizza.

I would imagine that G. Anderson did go on a bad day. I
have gone dozens of times and have not a bad experience
yet, although I would agree that the Sunnyvale restaurant
is better. In any case, this is the best deep dish you'll
find west of Chicago, although Zac's in Berkeley is quite
close.

Let me qualify my low rating; I've eaten many times at the Sunnyvale
restaurant and loved it. I've been here once and I'm not inclined to go
back. The pizza was soggy and the sauce was bland. I don't usually
complain, but I did here and the response was "okay". No apology, nothing.
Maybe it was a bad day, a really bad day.

Not quite as good as Zachary's in Berkeley but
currently our favourite pizza place in the Palo Alto
area. Good place to take kids. Does tend
to get crowded so I'd recommend ordering in advance.
They also deliver for lunch.

Currently my favorite pizza place. This place is so good
that I have a hard time saving any pizza for leftovers
the next day. I've only had "real" Chicago pizza once
before (many years ago) so I have no idea if the pizza
bears any resemblance to its namesake. Some of the
"featured" pizzas have rather strange combinations, but
I've yet to try one I didn't like. The pizza an unusual
crust, light and tasty. Salads are good too. This is a
good place to take kids. Local delivery is also
available.

As the name says they serve up deep-dish Chicago-style
pizza, but with a California flair -- we had Thai Chicken
(don't know if you find that in Chicago, but it was good).
Their Spinach Salad is large and tasty.
