I was visiting the area and stop by there to eat. The tortilla was good
and I like the Tortilla soup, abit pricy for me but it was not bad at all.

I've been once to each location and have had a pleasant experience
both times. Of course the tortillas are beyond good. I'll
honestly go back just for the tortillas. Compared to the "River
Walk" mexican food restaraunts, Alamo beats 'em flat
with better plates and lower prices (not to mention the tortillas).

This is an example of a restaurant that has expanded to such a size
that it can no longer produce quality meals. If you are looking
for average TexMex food with a nice atmosphere, Alamo Cafe is
for you, but if you want good TexMex food, go elsewhere.

I go here with family all the time, because it's my favorite
spot for good food! The atmosphere can be noisy but ask for a booth
and you'll be okay. The food is outstanding tex-mex at reasonable
prices. Margaritas will do you right!

The WORST food on earth! I've had better T.V. dinners. YOU CALL
THAT A MARGRITA!!! I wouldn't feed this food to my dogs.

The Alamo Cafe has hard competition in the city of San Antonio
for good Mexican food. San Antonians know better, but the tortilla
soup is kinda good. I know it's not authentic, but it's still tasty.
They also have a large chicken fried steak, which is a better reason
to visit the joint than anything Mexican in a city like San Antonio.

Not the place to go for mexican food. Too Pricey for the amount
of food you get. So what if you get all the chips you can eat they
do that so you wont notice how little is on your plate!

never had to wait.

This place is a slap in the face to those seeking authentic mexican
food as they adverise. The tortillas were good but nothing close
to my moms. The service was ok, but their tea was watered down,
and their margaritas were a joke. The salsa they sreved with the
chips came from New York City, so I got a rope!!!! Wasn't about
to ask if I could light a cigar.
