I ate here on a recommendation, I would not recommend it to anyone,
the food was , limited in portions, it was served cold (first
Mexican restaurant I have ever been to that did that), the server
said watch out the plates are hot, I touched mine it was stone cold
and a little warm on the under side, what they had done was to prepare
the plates with the beans and rice and let them set, then later
when an order is placed they put on the entree and bring it to you,
the salsa was Lame (that is the only word I can think to describe
it), parking was terrible. I can not understand why people think
this is a great place - it is not - I recommend almost anywhere else
- Heck even Taco Bell does better.

One of the best mexican food restaurants that I have had the pleasure
to dine in. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was
very relaxed and comfortable. They have some of the best tasting
tacos I have ever experienced. Highly recommend.

Los Barrios is one of the few restaurants in San Antonio that I
would whole-heartedly declare a must-visit, for locals and
tourists alike.

I can't add much more than Mr. Ochoa did, but this restaurant
is my very favorite Mexican restaurant, overall, in San Antonio.
I like it even more than I like Rosario's, which tends to get
better reviews. I think that's more of critics trying to
be "hip." The food IS really good at Rosario's,
but...it's like some artsy version of Mexican food--but
that's another review. I've yet to find anything at
Los Barrios that isn't made well. Even their Margaritas
are top-notch, not too sweet, like some places make it. The rice,
especially, is heavenly, light and fluffy and oh-so-yummy.

The setting is festive without being tourist cutesie. It has
a refreshing "garden patio" look that makes it both
relaxing and fun. No clunky dark wood furniture and dreary ligh ...

A great family place. Not the usual chain type restaraunt. Try
the fajita's..... for a little money (cheaper than most)
you get what I think are the best fajitas in town.

Great place. Food was good and the atmosphere a little different
than other Mexican restaurants. Less touristy than most. Would
recommend this to anyone.

The salsa that comes with the chips has become very generic,
hardly worth bothering with.
Their chimmichuri is still very good.
Food is very good and reasonabally priced.
Wait peoplle are fast and courteous, not opverly friendly
though. Maybe because they`re usually too busy to have time
to socialize. Owner usually makes the customer feel appreciated
by talking to the customers indivdually at the tables.
Overall appearance is good even with the large amount of
families with children. Buspeople clean the messes up promptly
and efficiently.
I`ve been eating here for at least 18 years and usually 1-2 times
a month.

Breakfast or lunch time is great time to eat here. Great service,
delicious food and not expensive. The oil, garlic, parsley and
secret additive is wonderful and I recommend to all.

Thouroughly enjoyed the place. It's a bit to find and park, but
the food is great and at good prices. The service is good. They
take the approach of everybody helps everywhere so its easy to
get what you want. The chimichurra Argentine steak and sauce
are worth a try. The Mexican is all good.
