Only eaten lunch there, and the prices were reasonable for the
main entrees. No bread or salad is included with the meal, though,
and prices for those are high and the portions are meager. The
service was acceptable and the place wasn't very busy at
the time. I would probably eat lunch there again, but would avoid
it for dinner based on the higher prices.

i would not eat there because of the stories that i have heard.
from the contractors that do work at this place. I have been down
in the kitchen and there was a rat that was laying on the floor for
over an hour before somebody picked it up and dosposed of it. just
thought that somebody would like to know about this. A guy i work
with said that he was working in the back and this rat was just looking
at him for a few minutes. before it ran away.

The best Italian food in San Antonio, by far. A great place for
a first date. Try the lasagna.

As is the case with most Riverwalk restaurants, these guys are
doing their best to avoid being moved ten feet out past the Walk
and into the river, and you end up paying for it. Michelino's has
been around for a long time, and was my fave spot when I came here
in '84. Times have caught up with them now, and service got poorer,
portions less sizable and prices more unrealistic. Still, for
Italian cuisine on the Walk, this place wins by default.
I suggest you take it light on the drinks here, because they'll
sandbag you into Palookaville for like $3.50 a beer and so on.
The appetizers are up to snuff, and their fried calamari and mozzarella
sticks stand up to anyone else's in town. The bread...umm! A little
taste of heaven away from home, so don't be ashamed to get your
money's worth. The entrees are worth waiting for (unfortunately,
that can be a long time on weekends), with a superb variety of pasta
dishes ranging from spaghetti to a delightful lasagne. If you're

While strolling down the river, stop in for a calzone that is out
of this world. You won't be dissapointed at all.
