I don't know why this restaurant doesn't have 5 stars. Their
entrees are reasonably priced (almost cheap) and you get great food
for the price. The food seems to be homemade and full of cheese and meat.
The seating is kind of cramped and dark, but the value and quality of
the food more than make up for it.

Scrumptious food & a great atmosphere. Generous servings, good
value for money and tastes delicious!

Everytime I dine at Emil's, it is a treat. With homemade italian
soups and sauces in generous portions, you'll never leave hungry...or
disappointed. Space is limited and often difficult to find on the weekend,
but the food is worth tha wait.

I've eaten at emils for many years the food is great, the portions
are huge but most importnaly the place has atmosphere for a nice
quite dinner for 2 or a larger less intimate grouping.

This is a good place to eat Italian food. They have a nice variety
of food and the service is very good. Their food tastes pretty
good. Their smoking and non-smoking sections are actually separated
by a WALL! Yay!
My negatives are that although the food is varied and tastes good,
it's on the heavy side, especially with the cheeses. The other
dislike is that the place is very claustrophobic. The tight and
narrow place plus the dark interior are almost a turn-off if it
weren't for the food, staff, and nice mom & pop atmosphere.

They have good food but i feel what they are serving is over priced.
its a shoping district and the charge more for there location
than they could get elsewhere.

Emil's is one of the "anchors" for the neighborhood/shopping
area around it. There are several other restaurants and bars
nearby, a co-op natural food and bakery, a comic book store and
several other interesting places to shop and browse along both
sides of the street in this block of Michigan avenue. Emil's features
Italian and American food and has a bar also.
