If you like it hot, I mean Cajun hot, than this is the place. Welcome to a small taste of New Orleans, and it's worth the travel for Canadians. The place just drips of atmosphere and the staff have great attitudes. Sometimes it takes a bit to get your food, but don't fret it's worth it.

A really fun atmosphere, a little different place for the downtown area. I used to work as a cook there, and they are goods to the employees and i know that the food is good. Good mix of unique creole style foods and a fun atmosphere makes it a great night on the town!

The atmosphere is casual to semicasual. The waterfountain is beautiful. The service isn't bad. The bread and herbed butter is yummmy. The jambalaya is pretty good too.

My sister said this place is ok.. She said the steak was bland, and the food was cold.. She did not care for the waitstaff.. So she told me to give them 2 stars.. On decor.

Good food. Imaginative selections on the menu. Great music. This place could be twice the size and still be packed for lunch, HINT HINT. Most of the wait staff is excellent, a few must sleep with the management to keep there jobs. They can sometimes do spicy right. I think my spicy orders have gone to someone else a few times. Other times they just seemed to put the wrong spice on it. Still over all they have food you really can't get anyplace else downtown.

I like the Northwestern Highway location a little better. The place is probably too close to Greektwon and the Casinos. Portions are big and the food is OK, but not spectacular. Still, if you are tired of Gyros and Saganaki, this is the best alternative.

This place has a very good reputation and people rave about it... perhaps I hit it on bad day. I was NOT impressed. I may give it another try some day... after I finish checking out the other well known places in Greektown.

FELT LIKE WE WERE IN NEW ORLEANS. THE KEYBORD FLOOR ENTRANCE LEAD US TO OUR DINING TABLE. WE HAD BBQ SHRIMP AND HURRICANES TO START. THE PECAN LEMON SOLE WAS SAUTEED TO PERFECTION. MY FRIEND HAD THE ALMOND ENCRUSTED TILIPA WITH THE PEACH BRANDY SAUCE TOPPING FROM THE SPECIALS. WE FINISHED DINNER OFF WITH A SLICE OF KEYLIME PIE AND PECAN PIE! BECAREFUL NOT TO EAT TOO MUCH HOT! BREAD IN THE BEGINNING. NO WONDER SO MANY PEOPLE LEAVE WITH CARRY OUT CONTAINERS! OUR SERVER WAS VERY INFORMATIVE OF THE MENU AND MADE SOME GREAT SUGGESTIONS. GO WOTH AN ATTITUDE OF "LETS TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT". ABSOLUTELY LOVED MY EVENING!

I haven't been here since 1995 so my review is a bit dated. Have eaten here twice while in business in the motor city. Both times ordered the crawfish etoufee, and both times it was really, really good. Fun atmosphere, tons of hot sauces to choose from. Recommended.

In my opinion it is a poor imitation of New Orleans style cooking. Long wait, uncaring, rude staff, and food served cold really make this a must miss if you have any experience with any true Creole or Acadian Cooking. The good decorating gives one a genuine hope as you walk in the door but it is rudely dashed as you put the food in your mouth. I made two trips just to make sure I didn't catch them on a bad day. But ti seems everyday is a bad day. They get two stars based on decor not on the food.

My parents introduced me to this place and I love it! Food is always good and I love the waterfall. Reminds me of mardi gra because you get the beads. No complaints.

Once you step in the doors, you feel like you are on Bourbon Street. The atmosphere is very lively. The menu is full of all your favorite creole dishes. The portions a huge and if it is not spicey enough for you, there are 10-15 different hot sauces right there on your table to add your personal touches. On Sunday if you are looking for a nice place to go after church or before a game, try thier Brunch. It is wonderful. Everything your heart desires from pecan waffles and scrambled eggs to dirty rice and fried catfish. If I never make it to New Orleans that's okay, I have been to Fishbones.

Excellent creole dishes. Plus you can get some exotic food as well (alligator). I really like their gumbo and seafood. Wonderful atmosphere in Detroit's Greek town

Great place fo a social gathering, the casino will be open around the corner in a month. The food is New Orleans style, try the poor boy sandwich.
