The problem with Jumpin Catfish is that there is no real alternative (in the KC area). The food struggles to reach mediocre and the wait staff is completely inattentive. There is NO reason to go there.

Great place to eat...The catfish is fantastic. Family style serving of beans, hushpuppies, and slaw is a "Treat". If you don't like fried, go somewhere else. Fried is the name of the game. Service was very good, a little slow but they were very busy. Beans, hushpuppies, and slaw was on the table fast, so the wait for main coarse was not bad. 5 stars!

This was the most awful food. The shrimp was over done and the potatoes were mushy. The commercial on TV gets you there and it is $16.95 for food that does nothing but set up a toxic response in your intestines.

We love to eat at Jumping Catfish. The sides are served family style and at night or on request at other times you can get beans flavored with ham that we like. Always you can get several varieties of potatoes, coleslaw, hushpuppies. The sides come pretty quick and we always get the fried catfish because it is delicious. While it is fried, it is not greasy! We love it!

Had a friend recommend this place and I am so glad she did. Loved the hushpuppies and the catfish was excellent as well. I would go again next time I am up that way

This seafood is great. If you are hungry than this is the place to be. They give huge portions and wonderful service. Me and the wife enjoyed eating here.

I could eat here every night. The service makes you feel like part of the family. The food is served family style and melts in your mouth. I always take tomorrow's lunch home and still am so full I am miserable. These folks have done a great job of putting everything together right. To bad I can't gve them six stars.
