Located off of Green Bay Avenue Dos Bandidos has a fairly bland exterior appearance. After stepping into the building the atmosphere improved slightly, but the “Mexican feel” was lacking and could primarily be found through the chairs and a few objects on the wall. After breaking through the physical appearance of the establishment, it became quite obvious the remainder of the meal would exceed the dull start. Immediately after being seated I was brought a basket of tortilla chips which appeared to just be tortilla shells that have been sliced, baked, and seasoned. Despite the fact that these chips appeared to be made of stale shells the flavor was impressive, with a mild chili powder for flavor. The food was served on a colorful plate giving it an authentic appeal, and an assortment of colors that teased my taste buds before I even had a chance to take a bite. The appeal of the food did not stop at the appearance; everything on the plate had a terrific authentic flavor. Then came the most painful part of the meal…the bill; surprisingly it was relatively inexpensive considering the large amount of food delivered.
