We were served by a "chef" whose whole act was based on making customers laugh by pretending to speak broken English and basically reinforcing every Asian stereotype that exists. My boyfriend and myself had never been to a Japanese steakhouse before, so I found myself the target of every "joke" the chef had to offer, which mostly amounted to making me look stupid for everyone else's entertainment. He came off less as a comedian and more like a schoolyard bully. It was completely humiliating because we were with my boyfriend's parents and it was his father's birthday...so had I walked out it would probably have ruined dinner. I was near tears by the time dinner was finally over. We paid over $20 a person and honestly, even had dinner not been excruciating, the food was not impressive to say the least. The steak was tough and bland and the rice was tasteless.

Not a bad place to eat, although the service differs from each visit, but it has never been bad. If you like dinner and a show, this is the place to eat.

I believe the problem here is not so much quality as quantity.To really get a fulfilling meal, it almost requires an additional side order of one of the meat or seafood entries.However, this place past its twentieth year in business, so all is not wrong, by any stretch.I love the jumbo shrimp and filet mignon, the salad dressing(ginger), and the staff here is very high quality.

Not very good at all. The service was bad and the chef was very boring. Some of the food was undercooked and some was overcooked. Will not recommend to anyone and me and my will not go back...

The food is good but the service last time we were there was horrible and I felt that is part of what I am paying for especially at this kind of restaurant. The chef carried on a conversation non-stop with a regular that was at our table. It was my daughters first visit to a Japanese steak house and she was very disappointed after having watched two other chefs throroughly entertain their customers. It is a little more run down and not as nice as Kobe or Goten and not a whole lot cheaper. I would go ahead and go to one of the others next time.

Best atmosphere in town to eat Japanese food. Chefs I think are by far the best here and they know how to cook a Surf and Turf to perfection!
