One of the best seafood joints around. The fish was soooo fresh. I will definately go back for sure. The wait staff was wonderful and very attentive.

This place was excellent. The food was sooooooo good nice and hot and fresh and the service was just as good as the food. We loved it.

John's is outstanding! I have been for dinner and lunch and it is reasonably priced ($10-$30), has exceptional service, and mouth watering dishes. The new owners have outdone themselves and I would recommend John's to everyone. I have never had anything that wasn't excellent. Whether it's for a great hamburger or chicken to the fish or steak special - John's is the place to go. John's brings great food back to downtown Birmingham!

John's is world famous, but the reputation is no longer deserved. A recent change in ownership has had a serious advrse effect on John's, reducing it to only an average seafood restaurant. This is a good place for a quick business lunch, but no longer a destination restaurant.

Johns has been a Birmingham establishment for many years. They are famous for thier Slaw and you can even buy the dressing in stores now. The family run establishemnt has been sold in recent years but still has great sea food and steaks. They have lunch as well as dinner and a wide varriety on teh menue.

Good seafood. One sentence says it all when talking about this restaurant. You have a wide variety of choices on the menu. I haven't found any dish on the menu that i didn't like. Give the dessert menu a try as well.

THE SAUCE FOR THE SLAW IS AWESOME AND YOU CAN NOW BUY IT IN SOME STORES. THEY HAVE A VERY DIVERSE MENU.

Menu is diverse. Excellent seafood and steaks. The building has some age on it, but food is good.

an old line institution for the downtown businessman..John's has changed a bit for the worse through the years but it it still a consistantly good place for seafood and steaks. always get the slaw as their sauce for it is awesome
