The East Lansing location is a fixture, many who grew up here consider
a visit to El Az an obligatory pilgrimage upon their return. El
Az serves what might be best considered New Mexican food and gets
more points for its 95 cent margaritas Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
evenings. The East Lansing location has a great patio upstairs,
but the Lansing store has better food and offers free chips and
salsa.

I ate at his restaurant throughout my years at MSU. The food was
incredible and it was dirt cheap. I moved away for 14 years and
ate at many other Mexican eateries, but have always considered
El Azteco to be one of the best. Now I've been back there twice
and the food lived up to its reputation. It's a 90 mile drive,
but I'll be back there just for the food.

A very fine Mexican restaurant at the corner of N. Martin Luther
King and W. Saginaw streets. Very tasty variety of Mexican appetizers
and entrees. Warm atmosphere and friendly service. They also
serve alcohol, including a selection of both American and Mexican
beers. Very good blue corn tortillas featured in some dishes.
Reservations recommended as this spot is quite popular. Worth
going out of your way for. For my money, it's the best Mexican food
in the Lansing area!
