I have eaten at Japan West four times now. Overall food quality
and presentation is very good to excellent. Great for Findlay
and certainly better than the Tokyo Japanese restaurant at the
Findlay mall. They even have Green Tea and Ginger Ice Cream made
exclusively by Dietch's, a well known local ice cream shop.

I have had problems more recently, though. They got a new manager
that is asian and it is OBVIOUS he caters to asian clientle over
anyone else. They will wait hand and foot for them but rarely come
back to other tables. This same manager refused to do take-out
on the ice cream for me even though the menu says take-out available;
he said he had no containers on two occasions but they have containers
for left overs!!! Also they offered Kobe steak late last year
for a couple months and I was excited to finally try it. My mom and
I paid $50 each for them and got some of the fattiest steak I have

This place is super expensive, but if you like Japanese food in
a small college town, this place is for you. I was a little iffy
about coming here because I had never had sushi. It was really
good. The chefs kind of got on my nerves. Some of them are corny
and fake in the presentation. Once is probably enough for me at
this place, but the food was good, so if you like this kind of thing,
check it out

Great place to eat. The show overtakes the food a bit; but not as
bad as some other places like this.

Expensive but for Findlay probably one of the nicest places you
are going to find to eat.

For Ohio, this isn't a bad Japanese restaurant. I only ate sushi....it
was fresh and reasonably priced. The presentation was acceptable
but not the best. Some of the nigiri-sushi was sloppy in appearance
but tasted just great. I'm not a tepanyaki fan, but it looked like
folks were enjoying themselves. I'm going again tomorrow...the
regular sushi chef is back. Perhaps the presentation will be
better.

Somewhat expensive but very good. Good sushi bar but can be slow
when they are busy. make reservations on the weekend and get your
sushi order in quick

This restaurant is expensive, but well worth the money. They
cook Japanese tepanyaki at your table. It is a unique dining experience!
The chefs are very friendly and put on a good show. The food is excellent,
too. Great atmosphere.
