They have changed ovens. They now have the "roll through" type that Little Ceasars and/or Penn Station has. The end of an era! Once Dayton's best, now just like the others.

I had a Joe's Pizza when he first opened his first store on Airway and Smithville Rd back in the mid 50s. I've since eaten pizza all over the US and much of the world. To this very day (May 2003) I'm still haunted by what Joe's pizza tasted like. From what other reviewer's say, it sounds like the same, good old recipe! If I ever get back that way, I'll be sure to make a stop at Joe's!!!

i live down the street and just to drive by and get a smell drives you crazy.I eat here quite a bit, can't get another pizza like it any where, it's well worth the drive to pick it up.

You have to eat here to belive it. The prices are great, and the food is even better. The pizza is something you'll crave for, I know you've had pizza before, but this is somehow "different". Aside from the pizza, they also have the best steak sub I've ever tasted.
