This review is based upon the Cuban style sandwich on the menu alone. The Mexican fair tasted very good from what I sampled from the other guests I dined with... As for the Cuban, I'm a BIG fan of authentic pressed Cuban sandwiches (the primary reason for my going here) and the sandwich served here is far from that. The cuban here is better described as a turkey w/ mustard on a french roll. Go for the Mexican, do NOT go for the Cuban. Still looking for a good Cuban in Cinci...

Cactus Pear is a good Mexican style restaurant. They have all the usual Mexican specialties. One of the things I really liked was the salsa that comes with the chips. It's unconventional, instead of tomato-based, it seems to be chipotle chili based. At least that's what it tasted like to me with that smoky, chipotle flavor. Good stuff. Order a mojito to drink to cool the burn, and you'll be fine.

One of my favorite restaurants. The carribean fajitas are fantastic. I liked this place so much after my first visit, that I went back the very next day. The appetizers are great, but don't bother with dessert. It is good, but I would suggest finishing off with a margarita instead. One of the best I have had.

This is a great restaurant. My wife and I moved from Cininnnati four years ago. We recently vistited the Pear. The food was better than we recalled. The service was good. The restaurant itself was exceptionally clean. We look forward to our next visit.

I've only been to the Cactus Pear once and I MIGHT go back, if someone else was paying. While the food was pretty good and the atmosphere was nice, the service was AWFUL. It's one of the worst times I've had dining out, and I dine out A LOT. Maybe I was just there on an "off" night.

Mexican cuisine is the order of the day! Everything is excellent but... DO NOT FORGET dessert!!! The Bread Pudding is to DIE for!!!
