Last Visit 08/04/05 Raw Oysters and Oyster loaf were EXCELLENT!!! And, I pray, that once again that the building survived the recent hurricane! Can anyone confirm the damage or the condition of the restaurant? I will be back next August - the trip to Sandestin will not be complete without lunch at the Original Oyster Bar - DOWNSTAIRS !

This place is my favorite restaraunt of all time. It's the only place that I think about and wish so bad I can go back and visit. The steamed oysters are to die for and the rest of the menu is so very good. And even though that place is jumpin with people every night of the week the longest I ever had to wait was 15 minutes. The wait staff is the best I've seen, you never had to start looking around and try to flag someone down. I don't know how they can be that efficient when the place is full blown packed. Their drinks were good and strong and ALL the food was cooked to perfection. I also loved how you made your own cocktail sauce at the table. I am forever spoiled by that method and make my own at home.

Wonderful seafood. Love the Alaskan King Crab. We always go the lower level restaraunt - more casual. They recently made the waiting area bigger and expanded the eating area - very nice.

Good seafood. Great location on the bay. It's a little pricey, but worth it. There's another location in Gulf Shores. It's good too.
