I recently stopped in at this restaurant on the way to north Alabama
to visit my parents. The lunch buffet is as good as I have ever had. A good
variety of vegies and a mixture of fish, chicken, shrimp and other meat
items. I often make this trip and will make this a stopping place in the
future.

THE SEA FOOD BUFFET IS OVER PRICED AND OVER RATED.
FOOD WAS COLD AND NOT FRESH, ALMOST LIKE LEFT OVERS.

My family and I have visited Catfish Country for the past 11 years. They
have a great salad bar with many choices, a dessert bar that has home
made puddings and fruit, jello, cottage cheese plus much more. All
of this comes with the buffet and and entrees. Most places charge extra
for salad and dessert. The seafood is as good as it comes. We plan to visit
again this weedend 4/15/06. Ummmm-good.

Best place this side of the gulf coast to get good home cooked seafood.
Just country fokes doing a great job. The best hushpuppies and cole
slaw anywhere. They hand batter all seafood and everything is made
from scratch daily. Where can you find this type of meal now days? They
also keep a very clean establishment.

The review by Ms. Ememberfinger is misleading. The restaurant adds
a number of items at night that has never been on the lunch buffet. Gulf
oysters, Gulf boiled shrimpshrimp 40 count, catfish fillet, crab
meat, sirloin steak, Gulf groper are just a few items.
I have personally eaten at this establishment for the last 24 years
and never had a bad meal.
I don't know how they can offer the quality and variety at the price
they charge. Go to the gulf coast and see the difference.

They do offer catering and a banquet room but the prices at night
are a little steep considering the fact you can get the same thing
for half the price during the day.

I understand that seafood is expensive but with so many other
non-seafood items on the "Seafood Buffet" I don't see why they
should charge so much for it. But the food is good and they keep
the buffet well-stocked. They also have large rooms for private
parties.
