Same as the Sheffield location, they start with free chips and salsa
(cheese dip or cheese/bean dip extra, spring for larger bowl}. Variety
of drinks, including alcohol. Updated menus, including kids'.
The house special (Casa Mexicana Especial) seems pricey to some, until
they see it; the menu says it feeds one, but it feeds at least two people
(all the 'sides' needed to fix variety of fajita/taco type
items on one platter like sour cream, rice, guacamole and so on, with
the other platter coming out steaming hot loaded with various meats
such as ribs, chicken, charizo, shrimp, beef and grilled peppers &
onions, etc.). If you have to have a take home box, it's just as good
later. They accept cash, and credit cards (including debit) but not
checks anymore. They have locations in Muscle Shoals and in Sheffield
as well.

All the chips and salsa you can eat (cheese dip extra, but worth
it; for the price, pop for the bigger one, though). Depending
on what's going on, on which side of the river, this one can
be less crowded but not always. the house special
is well worth the cost (and it really does feed at least 2, even
though it says 1). The prices are quite reasonable, and the cooks
authentic mexicans (which usually means the food is authentic,
remembering that some restaurants add things like chicken fingers
because of the kids; and they do have a kids menu at least). They
also serve alcohol, except on Sundays {though may have changed with
the new alcohol sales laws recently}. I like the one across the river
better, but that doesn't mean this one is bad. Avg. entree price
listed doesn't count the over 10 for the Casa Especial that I get,
nor does that price include drinks, tip, cheese sauce, etc.

Good Mexican food. It tends to be greasy but the cheese sauce is
great. Great place to eat with a group of friends.

Great Margarita's and Service. Food is average. Good salsa
to go with the complimentary chips. Overall very good and authentic.

I think that casa mexicana is by far the best mexican restaurant
in northwest alabama. Although, the atmosphere might be slightly
better at La Hacienda, the food, service and margaritas at Casa
are unmatched. Pay a little extra for the gold margarita and you
won't regret it!

I love their guacamola and cheese dip, but they don;t listen to
special orders...me anf my friend both asked onions to be left
off and we both got them anyway!

Florence doesn't have any good Mexican restaurants.
You have to dive to Huntsville (60 miles away) for GREAT Mexican
food.
The restaurant is called "Rosie's" and is in the Home Depot shopping
center on University dr.
The only thing Casa Mexicana Restaurant has going for them is
the rice. (GREAT Rice)

I like this casa, but the one in muscle shoals is better. The margaritas
at this one are average.
