My work buddies took me here for lunch. It was fantastic. The sandwiches were awesome and the service was excellant. Got our food very quickly. It was so good I wanted to stay for another meal.

We are repeat customers, everytime we vacation in Destin we eat here. The service was excellent, hardly waiting 20 minutes for our food after we ordered it! So hot couldn't eat it for a few minutes. The atmosphere is wonderful, pure heaven for beach bums.

We had lunch here on 1/24/05. The lunch prices are in the $8 to $14 range. Service is "spotty" even though this was the off season and the restaurant was not busy. <br> The shrimp & crabmeat Gumbo was not very hot ("tepid" at best) and raed 3 stars. Could have had more shrimp and/or crabmeat in it. We had Amberjack sandwiches ($8) which was served with lettuce, tomato and sides of french fries and coleslaw. We found theseto be very good but not unlike these sandwiches at any of the beachfront restaurants in Destin. In other words, you can't go wrong ordering grouper, amberjack, or mahi-mahi at any of these places (except Fudpucker's which is NOT recommended). <br> The beachfront location adds to the flavor and the beers Red Stripe from Jamaica)were chilled and were $3.50 each.

What a great place!!! It is right on the beach. You can leave all your beach toys out and walk right up to the restaurant and eat a nice lunch. I don't eat seafood, but I do recommend all of the chicken entrees and the burgers. It is very family friendly and my family always has to go there while we are at Destin. Check it out and you will not be disappointed.

Excellent atmosphere and view!! Wonderful shrimp/spinach salad. A must if you are in Destin! Take time to browse in the gift shop too! Go early so you don't have to wait! Have enjoyed The Back Porch for many years!

This restaurant was one of the most wonderful places we ate dinner while on our vacation. The restaurant is very family friendly and very relaxed atmosphere. We were in a party of 7 people and were told the wait would be 30 minutes, but we maybe waited 20 minutes. The service was incredible & the food was incredible. It was awesome to be dining & be able to look outside and see the beach and the surf. The food was prepared to order & no one went away hungry. We did not even have room for dessert. I would dine at this restaurant any chance I got. <br> Highly recommend.

Usually crowded, which means a bit of a wait, but you won't regret it. The foor is great, the atmosphere is very relaxing and laid back, but then again how could it not be, it's right on the beach.

This is a great place for the fam to go. It's right on the beach and it's beautiful. Even thought there's usually a long wait you can sit on the beach and wait and the time goes fast! The food is fantastic and I would recomend the crab legs!!! If you go to Destin definently visit this resturaunt and the Destin Cafe.
