my vegan son is in college in asheville so the laughing seed is a nightly destination during every family visit. the staff is friendly and helpful, the food is excellent with great variety, and the prices are reasonable. vegan/vegeterian or not, you will have an excellent meal in a comfortable atmosphere.

Best vegetarian I have ever eaten! <br> A salad and a veggie burger does not a Vegetarian Restaurant make. <br> The menu is a great variety wherealmost everyone can find a good option. <br> The "sloppy joe" roll ups are excellent whether you are a vegetarian or not. Just "good eats"! <br> The Laughing Seed can be a bit difficult to find, hidden on tiny Wall St in downtown Asheville, but park in the municipal parking deck, less than 30 yards away and stroll past great ecclectic shops on your way to a great dinner!

Excellent vegetarian restaurant. Offers a wide variety of entrees and also many homemade breads and desserts to eat or take home. If you are a vegetarian you will love this one.

Great food, another come-as-you-are atmosphere. Food for just about everyone. A meateater went with me & ate the sloppy joe (sans meat of course) loved it. You never missed the meat. It tasted like food, not garden scraps thrown on a plate. Good food, good service- Great place for brunch, or lunch!

If you're a vegetarian, this is the place to eat. Tofu galore. Veggie burgers and tempei abound. Might want to consult with your carnivore friends or family members before visiting.
