After recently moving to the area we decided to try Dick & Dora's. The chicken noodle soup starter was literally noodles with hot water - no chicken, no taste. The early bird portions were extremely small, which was no surprise but the worst was the small plate of pasta and butter that we ordered for our 2 year old. When the bill came it was $11.00 plus another $2.00 for her apple juice. Greed comes to mind - never again.

Some things are better left as a memory. I just came home from a surprisingly disappointing dinner. I used to be a frequent patron and had tried many dishes at Dick and Dora's; my favorite being the shrimp stuffed with crabmeat, but after a recent visit I will not return. All courses were cold, the soups were lukewarm at best. The shrimp bisque had no shrimp. For the entree, two of us ordered the stuffed shrimp with crabmeat that I had recommended. To my embarassment the dish contained four average sized cold shrimp topped with a pureed babyfood like substance that contained no crabmeat. The accompanying lemon butter sauce was ice cold. The other entree ordered was the chicken parm. The person who ordered this was grossed out by the tough grizzly chicken. Althought the pasta was cooked well, it was covered in an almost non edible sugary sweet sauce. I was truely disappointed by this experience. At one time, dinner at Dick and Dora's was a guaranteed treat. Apparent ... more

I was born and raised in Massapequa. I'm 48 and I used to go to Dick & Dora's when I was a little kid. It amazes me that it's still there! I can't wait to get back to Long Island and eat there!

This restaurant is very family oriented. The food is good and prepared like you'd get at home. The only drawback is the parking lot. As I recall it is very small.

Dick and Dora's is a great casual restaurant with wonderful food. Don't miss out on the steamers (seasonal). I've never had a meal there I haven't loved. You've got to try it!
