Went for lunch - had the popular white clam pizza. Flavorful! Better really like clams if you order this pizza! We liked it. Would order a more traditional pizza with sauce and pepperoni next time.

Took another road trip here and as usual they have the best pizza anywhere. White, Clam with Bacon with and without Mozzarella. Both sides were great. My daughter had White, Sausage, Garlic, and Mozzarella. Her's as she described it was the best she's ever had. Can't go wrong here. Just pick the right time or you'll wait in line outside the door. Timing is everything but it is certainly worth the wait. You can't go wrong with consistency.

Another visit to Pepe's and again not disappointed. This time we ordered the small pies and each was excellent. Brought my daughter and one of her friends with her and they both agreed, simply the best pizza anywhere. White, Clam and Bacon with and without mozzarella, either way you can't go wrong, so I had half and half. Definately a toss up with each being perfectly made. Daughter had white, sausage and garlic and it was equally delicious. Her friend had a regular pie, tomato sauce and mozzarella and it was also excellent. Worth the drive from New Jersey. Next time, I'll bring home a pie or two for the rest of the family. Great eats here. Also they have opened a location in Manchester CT. Now they have four locations, the Spot, Frank Pepe's in New Haven, Fairfield and Manchester. Haven't yet been disappointed.

Again, simply put, the best pizza anywhere. Though you have to get used to waiting on line to get in, there are options. The Spot, next door which serves the same pizza, or their location in Fairfield. I understand there is going to be another location opening soon. The information can be found on their website. You won't go wrong with any of the toppings. Every person that I have talked to who has gone to this restaurant says the same thing, "The Best". Haven't ever been disappointed any time that I've been there. It's about an hour and a half ride for me to get there but worth every moment. Try it and you'll be saying, "The Best".

Great Pizza. Don't ask for a salad to start, like I did my first time there. I got looked at like I had 12 heads. Get there early, they open at 4 or 5.

Usually order pies to eat there and some to take home with me. Try the clam with white sauce pizza ( I add bacon to the order), but any variety is great there. Be prepared to wait but it is well worth it. They only serve pizza but the multi varieties should please anyone and everyone.

I love pizzia I have 10 numbers on my cel phone. there is famous, la rivera, zupards, sally's, moderns, pepe's..... and the one that I like the best is used the lest. I need to be there for the pizzia. I have to have it right from the oven, em nothing like it. I have been all over and there is no pizzia like the kind you find here in the New Haven area of Connecticut!

The best pizza anywhere!! Always delicious, they use San Marzano tomatoes on the pies, which are the best.

Pepe's isn't even the beast pizza in new haven. Modern and Sally's take the cake. I do love Pepe's meatball, but I just don't think it's the same za as it was 10 years ago. Go to Modern on Orange street and settle into your dream pizza

Still far and away the best pizza anywhere.....even when they don't have clams for their pizza you still get other great choices with plenty of toppings....still be prepared to wait...but it is worth every second...they now take credit cards....the top choice is still the white..clam with bacon pizza...

I consider myself to be well traveled in the ways of pizza. The only pie that comes even close to Pepe's would be that of Lombardi's on Spring Street NY. For both it comes down to the ingredients. I would say Pepe's still wins by a nose. Their sausage and pepper pizza is king!

It is the best pizza in the world. But a lot of it is the reputation. If you gave someone Pepe's pizza blindly, they wouldn't think it was ALL it is hyped up to be. It is more the whole atmosphere and idea that, "yeah, I have eaten at Pepe's!!". It is world famous and excellent. But don't hype it too much or you will be disappointed.

Excellent pizza, some of the best around, and the best I've

ever had. Wide varieties of toppings, some you won't find

at some of the other places around. Try it, you'll love it.

I spent years in Connecticut and now I live in the midwest. But whenever I go back east, no matter where I am in the east, I always make a pilgrimage to Pepes. There is just nothing like it anywhere on the planet. Sure there are other places similar, especially in the New Haven area, but Pepes is the original. Yes, there are some places called Tomatoes Apizza near where I live that serve agreat pie, but it still isn't Pepes. There is something indescribably unique about the pies from this place. It starts with the huge paddles that they use to feed the gigantic brick oven and it ends with the wonderful taste of the al-dente thin crust that tastes jsut perfect. The ingredients are real, the appearance of the free form pies are real and the taste is pure heaven. I have been going to Peps for over 30 years and I won't stop any time soon. It is no wonder that this place is said to be the best pizza in teh world. I have enjoyed pizza all over italy, in New York, LA Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul, MExico and all over the US. Pepes is the best hands down. They have red pies, white pies and traditional cheese and tomatoe pies. They have great clam pizzas too. They used to serve fresh clams. I don't know if they still do. The line is often out the door and people wait in line for the place to open. Peppis is simply the best.

I grew up in Mystic and we used to travel to Pepe's just for the pizza... I second and third the comments.. The best in the USA. I actually have a friend that prought me one packed in a cooler all the way to Virginia because he like me...thinks this is ##1. From the lil Italian ladies shuffling with your hot mis-shapen pizza to the small pony glasses of beer. Best pie on the menu is...the "white pizza...with a touch of garlic" melts in your mouth. Don't go by this one without stopping!!!!!
