The atmosphere, decor and service are all great here. Price has been
mentioned a few times, and no it isnt the cheapest place in town, but
you get what you pay for, and this is a great place to spend and evening
in my opinion!

The minute you walk in, you feel like you are in a luxurious Chinese
palace. Very tactile, warm and dark Chinese decor, wonderful
lighting, this is a very three-dimensional restaurant.

The appetizers are all exquisite, served quite quickly upon
ordering, and always piping hot. We always order two hot and sour
soups, to share between 4, they are served rich and chock full
of tasty ingredients. Then we have steamed dumplings, pan-fried
dumplings, szechuan dumplings and their yummy, finger-sized
spare ribs, which are glazed, grilled and served without fatty
bits. The hot mustard is a must!

As main courses, get the Peking duck and the spicy orange beef.

Stylish room, impeccable service and excellent food means this
restaurant certainly lives up to Palace standards.
The food is a mix of elegance and flavor: Even basics such as wonton
soup are complex and flavorful. The rich and generously-portioned
hacked chicken and the tender, meaty duckling with ginger are
both particularly good. There is a special "spa menu"
so that even dieters can find something they're willing
to eat. Prices reflect the quality of the room and service.

I cant speak about the authenticity, but I found the presentation
and flavor to be excellent. It may be expensive, but most resturants
of this caliber in New York will be. The wait staff is excellent
and knowledgable. I wish i had some of their dry crispy beef right
now! Wow

New Yorkers are definitely don't know how to pick a good Chinese
restaurant. This place was great, the atmosphere was awesome,
most people who eat here are very classy, however when it comes
to food quality, this place suffers.
I'd say you folks should try eating real Chinese food on the West
Coast, Los Angeles, San Francisco or better yet, Vancouver are
the
three best places to eat real good Chinese food outside China/Hong
Kong. They really know how to cook.
Shun Lee might be located in Midtown Manhattan and a Chinese fiesta
place for top Wall Street Bankers and lawywers, but obviously
they don't
know how and where to eat a real Chinese food.

Prices were very high for a Chinese restaurant, but has a nicer
atmosphere than most. Food is pretty good, but not 20-30 dollars
great.

VERY EXPENSIVE. You're expected to pay normal tip (15%) and tip
for the captain (another 5%). Food is excellent. Place is usually
very quite and the service is excellent.
