Haven't been to many french restaurants before but La Mer was great.
Really delicious food! Great atmosphere with great views. Perfect
service, could not fault this place.
The food was great but the service was even better! When everyone
raves about the service at Halekulani, they are not exaggerating!
And you can't beat the location. It is THE most romantic restaurant
I have ever been to! Overall, I have to say this is the best restaurant
in town.
Ah, fantastique! Ma coeur dormez a La Mer. Live entertainment,
excellent food (try some of the dessert fondues) and a wine selection
that can't be beat. I was almost giddy when I stepped into
the place. If you can afford to eat there, this is te place to go.
The pates are smooth, the cheese is ripe, and the setting is meant
for romance. If only there were more like it, then I think the lost
pleasures of fine dining would return to the regular man.
Lovely location at one of the island's premiere hotels....
of course with the premiere status comes the big price tag.. but
dont be put off.

First Class service , food and wine a must for those really special
occasions
This place is expensive but well worth the money if you want to
splurge. The food is good and there is live entertainment.

Waikiki's Halekulani is a very special hotel and the hotel's
premier restaurant it La Mer is just that, a very special place
for elegant dining. The prices can match your mortgage payment,
but this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for most. Between
the elegant cuisine, the very fines wines and the beautiful setting,
La Mer is like dining on the finest movie set, and you are the star.
I cannot think of a more highly recommended (romantic AND expensive)
restaurant on Waikiki Beach, and that says it all!!!
Halekulani is one of the finest hotels in Hawaii. And along with
the Hotel is this restaurant. This is one of the finest hotel restaurants
in the world. It has gotten awards for being such a restaurant.
You can be sure that the food is excellent. The pricing is high
but worth the dining experience of a first class restaurant.
Probably this has not been reviewed before because
what resident can afford to eat here, unless it's
the once in a lifetime special occasion.
Everyone who lives here knows this is a GREAT place,
especially for seafood. They also know that if
John Dominis is expensive, this place costs even more!
If you have the bucks, go...you won't be sorry.
