This place is a disaster. I have been there a few times now, and
it seems it is going from worse to worser. The service is always
deplorable and the waitress this time had an attitude as though
she was doing me and the family a favor by gracing us with her presence.
I wouldn't have returned except for the fact that my parents
wanted to come here. They were also very dissatisfied with the
service and thought the food was just ok, but they kept mentioning
how much better Taco Bell is.

I wonder if "on the border" management ever read these
reviews.

This is a great place for a family with small kids to dine. It is
a family-friendly restaurant that offers crayons, coloring
books, toys, balloons and kid-friendly waiters & waitresses.
Their extensive Tex-Mex menu is very reasonable (The Burros
are fantastic) and the kid's menu (recently changed) is
$1.99-2.99 and offers anything from pizz to hotdogs to burros
(they even top off the kid's meals with a package of candy
of their choice). The adult portions are large and you never go
away hungry. We feed out family of 5 for under $30.00. Can't
beat it.

THE PLACE IS VERY NICELY DECORATED IN A WESTERN AND MEXICAN THEME.
iT'S FUN JUST BEING THERE. HOWEVER, THE FOOD COULD USE SOME HELP.
I'VE HAD BETTER FOOD ELSEWHERE. tHE PORTIONA ARE NOT OVERLY GENEROUS
AND DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU ORDER CHANCES ARE YOUR GOING TO BE HUNGRY
AND HOUR LATER. tHAT'S IF YOU EAT IN THE FIRST PLACE THERE COOKING
ISN'T THAT GOOD. tHE SERVICE IS VERY GOOD THOUGH. DON'T GO THERE
ON A WEEKEND UNLESS YOU PLAN ON LOSING 5 LBS WAITING TO BE SEATED.
THE WAITS ARE LONG.

Atmosphere is quite Mexican. Great place to take the kids. Food
is typical for Chain Mexican Restuarant. First time I went to
one was in Oklahoma. Food is OK---Get there early on a weekend
or expect to wait at least 40 minutes.

NICER ATMOSPHERE THEN TEJAS- MUCH QUIETER AND MORE PERSONAL,
BOOTHS AVAILABLE- DIM LIGHTING- I GUESS YOU WILL HAVE TO TRY AND
TAKE THE TEJAS- BORDER- CHILIS TASTE AND CAST YOUR VOTE!!!
THE FOOD WAS GOOD - BUT NOT TO MANY CHOICES- THE APPYS ARE PRETTY
COOL AND THE CHIPS AND SALSA WERE GREAT- BUT THE CHIOCES ARE MUCH
BETTER AT CHILIS-"EXCELLENT FAIJITAS TEX-MEX"-AMERICAN OR
JOSE TEJAS TEX MEX.. BUT THE OVERALL DINING CHOICES ARE AVERAGE
MEXICAN THEY DON'T LIKE EXCEPTIONS YOU KNOW HOLD THE ENCHILIDA
SAUCE OR SOMETHING- THE FAIJITAS ARE NO COMPARISON TO CHILIS-
AND TEJAS DOES MAKE BETTER ENCHILIDA SAUCE...

I really didn't care for the food here. I think there are much better
TexMex restaurants in this area.

This Tex-Mex restaurant offers the ambiance of a restaurant
in Mexico. The food and drink is good but Jose Tejas by far is a better
restaurant when it comes to mexican food.
