I enjoy their penne vodka accompanied by a Merlot or a Pinot Noir when I am in the mood for a good stuffing. Their espresso is always welcome. Whether at the bar or at a table, the service is friendly, helpful, and generous with its portions. The staff takes its time explaining the menu if one is in the dark about an item. I am glad I asked about their penne vodka three years ago. It's my favorite. This restaurant is in mid-town Elizabeth across the street from the Union County court house. It is also around the corner from the Elizabeth city hall. It's not at all rare to see state, county, and local politicos with their sleeves rolled up digging into some delicious food. Unfortunately, I don't get to visit the Red Parrot as often as I would like. - But, when I do, it is definately a break from life's routine. I strongly recommend you visit. No need to worry about parking. There is a municipal parking deck around the corner. less
