I had a wonderful dish of Sea Scallops. I was full and asked to have the
6 remaining scallops packed for me. When I unpacked the scallops to
eat the next day, I found only 4 were packed. I was disgusted. That is
a cheap and uncalled for thing to do.
I will never go there again.

Monstrous steaks and excellent seafood. Very good service. Paella
to die for. One minor drawback is that you seem to be 6 inches from the
next table and there is always a waiting list with no reservations..

Best place to go for Spanish food! You have to wait a little while
for a table, but it is def. worth it! Friendly service, and a large
iteresting menu. I have never gotten anything bad from Fornos!

Very good food. Atmosphere very loud, but that's to be expected.
Their paella is absolutely marvelous. Worth the wait!

This is by far the BEST Spanish/Portuguese restaurant in Newark.
Very elegant atmosphere and decor, but you are welcome even in
jeans and a T-shirt. The food is top quality, from the salad of
sea salt-washed romained lettuce, olives tomatoes and onions
to the perfectly steamed lobster. My favorite dish is the shrimp
in champagne sauce, and I absolutely love the "chips" that they
serve with every meal. The service is fast and friendly -- even
at their busiest. After dinner, be sure to enjoy a Spanish, Mexican
or Jamaican coffee -- the smoothest and tastiest coffee ever
and served in a brandy snifter. No reservations taken, so get
there early on weekends especially. Even if you have to wait,
though, it is worth it -- and then some.

My trip to Forno's was a pleasent one. The food was very good and
done in spanish style. I had the seafood in the green sauce that
was very very good. The mix of a whole lobster , clams, mussles,
shrimp, and scallops were very well portioned and had some to
take home. Even though the place is busy I was never rushed. The
prices are very reasonable for the atmosphere and service.

We absolutely LOVE this restaurant. Alot of people aren't crazy
about going to Newark, particularly at night, but they should
have no concerns about going to Forno's. There is a private free
parking lot in back of the restaurant, for the patrons.
Unfortunately, they do not take reservations (at least I don't
think so) and there is always a long line, particularly Friday
nights through Sunday nights. It's worth the wait however. You
can order a pitcher of Sangria while you wait, and be sure to ask
for a plate of the marvelous fried potato chips (free). During
the warm months, you can wait at the outside tables, between the
parking lot and the restaurant.
The food is terrific. My favorite is the mariscada salsa verde,
which is seafood (including lobster) in a green sauce. If you
just order a main course, your meal will come with salad, great
bread, potato chips (homemade). The entrees are very reasonable,
even the lobsters. A plate with double lobsters is in th ...
