I've been trying out a variety of Omaha's local barbecue joints
for awhile now and this one is a hit. I ordered the combo plate of beef
brisket, featherbones, and a spare rib with hot bbq sauce. It was absolutely
delicious! The brisket had a nice pink smoke ring with great smoky flavor,
and everything was deliciously tender. I'd put this in Omaha's
top 3 for barbecue, I just can't wait to get back to try out the rest
of the menu.
Big Horn Mountain Barbecue has excellent ribs, compares well
with the Smoke Pit who are known for their quality ribs. I would
recommend this place, it has good food, as well as good prices.
If you want to go to a BBQ that makes you feel at home, this is the
place for you! If the owner is around he will say hello and make
sure everything is ok with your meal. He will even clean off tables
and get you a soda refill if you need one! I love their barbecue
ribs smoked and cooked to perfection! The medium hot sauce is
just right for me, but they also make a hotter sauce for those who
can take the heat! Most of the prices are right at 5-10 bucks, but
some are a little more, but then you are talking about an entire
slab of ribs! His prices are excellent compared to the amount
of food you get! If your lookin for very casual dining in a homey
environment with excellent prices than this restaurant is for
you!
