The food was good, but as good as we expected. We were told it was fantastic,
we didn't see it that way.
Service was on the slow side, but not bad. The waiter should know enough,
when the drink glass is almost empty, he should ask if you want another.
They missed out on 2 or 3 drinks that night from us.
The bartender mixed a great drink. You could even taste the booze in
the drink.
We left a 15% tip, I usually do much better. I also dropped a tip at the
bar.
If you want a good meal (average) This is a good place to go.

Went with my wife last night for Valintines day treat. We were jammed
into a room like sardines and just piled on top off others. (did not see
the fire marshall) We ordered a medely of clames casino, crab cakes
and calamari as an appetizer. It came in 40 seconds and the entire plate
was cold. Our dinners took about an hour and 10 min. and they were extremly
average. The waiter was cool but even a cool waiter can't save or
help you @ that point.
After paying the 120.00 (not including the tip) check I shook mt head
and said never again. The trick is stop taking reservations after your
full to the point of a complete safty issue as well as poor food, no bread,
and our table was pointing right into the lobby and people were pointing
standing 12 inches away upset and waiting for a table because they were
so overbooked.
Eat Dinner @ John's cafe down the road 100 yards and you'll
get your money's worth.....

Carmen Anthony's in Woodbury went out of their way to help us when
my aunt died this past summer. The funeral was very sudden and
we could not find any place in the Southbury area to hold a reception.
On the morning of the funeral, my husband & I stopped in to the restaurant
on the off chance that they could accommodate us. They willingly
opened their establishment to us with only about a 2 hour notice.
The food and service were excellent! Many thanks to bartender
Scott for his friendly, outgoing way of making us all comfortable,
including our 10 year-old daughter who was thrilled and amazed
by the tricks he showed her, keeping her occupied as the adults
in the family mourned and remembered. Thank you again, Carmen
Anthony!

Very good seafood. Try the "fried lobster tail appetizer." They
prepare fish with a variety of sauces to choose from. Upscale
restuarant with very good service.
