Pleasant ambiance with a fireplace in the main dining room..request this area when making reservations (not required). It did not have any type of background music on the Saturday night we were there, something that was noticeably missing. American entrees with a good selection and the food is very good as are the drinks. Service was mostly attentive and friendly even to first timers although it appears many of the customers are regulars and known well to the staff. This was clear when our original server dropped off menus then proceeded to take the drink order and serve the drinks of the couple next to us before even asking for our drink order. This after we had been seated before that couple. Fortunately, a very personable young lady then took over our service and performed admirably throughout the meal. The original older middle aged waiter never knew he had made the mistake of snubbing Roy of Dine.com. One interesting sidenote to this restaurant is the fact that it is located in fairly close proximity to two upscale retirement communities and apparently draws a large percentage of its clientele from them. The result of this is that the patrons were noticeably better dressed than noted in most restaurants in this day and age.
