This is the best place in RI to eat italian. As everyone has mentioned, you get authentic food, at a great price, and always (I mean ALWAYS) leave with a take-out container. Don't drive by this place and go to one of those chain italian places. Quick, make a U-Turn and head here for the best food you will ever have. I have since moved to Florida, but every time I am back in RI, this is the first place I visit for a great itailan dinner.

THIS IS DEFINATLEY BETTER THAN TWIN OAKS. ONLY REAL ITALIANS CAN APPRECIATE A LOT OF FOOD AND THE QUALITY AT MARCHETTI'S. EVERYONE IN THERE IS EXCELLENT. I GO THERE AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK OR MORE AND ITS LIKE CHEERS EVERYONE KNOWS OUR NAMES. ITS CHEAP ITS CONVIENIENTLY LOCAL AND THERE ISN'T USUALLY A LONG WAIT AND IF THERE IS, THERE IS USUALLY PLENTY OF TABLES IN THE LOUNGE.

This is my absolute favorite italian resturant, The best veal parm I have had! Huge portions, which you always end up taking home. Nice atmosphere, I always sit in the bar area as I enjoy their drinks. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good italian food.

The food at this Italian restaurant is the only one in my opinion to beat out Twin Oaks. There is not as long a wait and you get enough food to eat the same dish two nights in a row which is a big plus for me The prices are excellent with regards to how much food you get and the service is awesome

This place gets busy on weekends so plan accordingly. We went at an off time. The service was great and the food delicious. Mostly Italian entrees but they have a little of everything else!

A RI institution! I've been going here for years but I have to say that on the last few visits the service has been sub par and the quality seems to be slipping a bit. We were told they ran out of butter for our bread?! How can a restaurant not have butter? <br> Marchettis serves mouth-dropping, eye-popping portions; EVERYONE leaves with a doggie bag, and a meal here can also serve as lunch for the next two days, particularly any meal that includes pasta. You'll think they're bringing you a family style bowl of pasta, when it's really just your order. I've never had dessert here, I doubt that anyone has. Salad and bread are brought to every table gratis.

I have eaten here on the advice of a friend. I was very pleasantly surprised by the prices of what I had ordered. I was even greater surprised by the amount of food that I got for the price I paid. I was very happy with it! I happened to get a lot of food and it was all good and the service was excellent!!!!!

My only problem is the mashed potato. Not real potato, a mix. other than that, good food and plenty of it.
