My husband and I opted to dine in the John Wayne Saloon, which always
has a John Wayne movie playing on it's two large screen T.V's.
It had a fun funky old west decor. The service was average. I really liked
the iced tea, and my husband very much enjoyed his milk shake. We shared
the bbq sampler platter. We both agreed the chicken was the best, and
we also really liked the brisket, but the sausage was really porky tasting
and nothing very special, also the ribs weren't very tender. The
side of potato was really good and came with real crumbled bacon, a nice
touch. The side salad was large and included a good variety of vegetables
which was pretty nice. I also like the bread they gave us. I thought the
price was worth it, and we had plenty of left-overs. I would recommend
this place as a decent stop if your ever in Shady Cove.

This place is your typical american restuarant serving very
typical steaks and burgers. they have a bunch of dead animals
hanging all over the place as if to remind you of something that
once was. I personally dont care for two pines because of the "redneck"
atmosphere, but if you like american food backed with american
mentality. This is the place for you

"Only 17 miles from Medford, " that's what my mom announced as
we drove north along Highway 62. Having seen an ad for Two Pines
Smokehouse, I thought that it would be fun to give thie place a
try. As it turned out, Two Pines Smokehouse was indeed fun, with
very large portions of tasty smoked and barbequed foods. My mother
opted for the full rack of pork ribs (too much for the two of us to
polish off, but take-home boxes were readily available). I had
the smoked sausage sampler ("$9.95 for two types, only $1.00
more for all three!"), which offered some very fine sausages.
The restaurant caters to locals (there was a birthday party going
on upstairs) and casual visitors (better known as tourists and/or
out-of-towners) and offers a good deal of food for your dining
dollar. Well, if you are ever in Shady Cove, you might want to stop
by the Two Pines Smokehouse (which also offers overnight accomodations)...
