Get the short ribs. Get the curry. Consider the source before
you order the sushi.

It's a funky dive restaurant, with upscale prices (for the
area). It's an open kitchen so that you can see what's
happening even as you enter the space. Avoid looking. It'll
gross you out. Filthy, messy, sloppy, chaotic. I once saw one
of the cooks catch a sneeze with his hand and then return to cutting
something.

So, for me, I go for the long, slow cooked items and avoid the others.

It's a nightclub after 10PM, and it's a rowdy good time.
Things get a little sweaty (small dance area, crowded back bar)
and fights are frequent. Get buff before you show up, or go someplace
else.

Then again, they now hire cops to always be on site weekend nights.

The service here is consistently some of the worst in the Rogue
Valley. Seriously, it really is difficult imagining any staff
being less ...

Food is good. While I have had good service here it is likely because
I eat around 7 PM and I know it gets crowded later. There is a Sushi
bar so I would call this more of an Asian fusion restaurant than
a Chinese one.

The food is very yummy here. I've tried many of the dishes
and they are always tasty. The service, however, sucks. The servers
seem to have a "fake-nice" thing going. And one can
sense too easily the behind the scene dramas that are taking place
amongst the staff. Like a Melrose Place restaurant. And the service
can be painfully slow and inattentive. Not a friendly atmosphere,
it's as if the restaurant is trying to be too cool, too hip,
too San Francisco. Also, because of the open kitchen, be prepared
for your clothes and hair to smell after leaving.
The bar/nightclub is your typical meat-market for the college
crowd. Gross. Locals call the Kat Wok the "Kat-Box."
