It's all about the Half Moon, Pork Hash, and the Chow Fun.
The manapua is ok: there are better places out there; but, the
Half Moon, Pork Hash, and Chow Fun are the best anywhere. You can't
beat the taste or the price.

All in all a "localized" version of Chinese dim sum.
For true dim sum afficianado's, this place is not for you.
If you grew up in Hawaii then this would be the place to go.

I spent many a morning standing in line here. It's always
worth the wait. Plus, if you pay attention, you might pick up some
pointers on how to attempt your own...LOL!

Like many other popular chinese places this place is good. The
only downside is they sell out early cause of their popularity.

this is the best place in chinatown , Nice family atmosphere.
a group of my friends. We get excellent service and good home cooking
at a fair price. All Associates are friendly and don't
"rush you out" to get another customer.

Boxes of manapua, pork hash, rice cakes, and mai tai su, disappear
so quickly in my office that if I don't get there first, I don't
get any. This hole-in-the-wall (and I mean this literally) is
the best place downtown to get a box of goodies for the office.
If you want your secretaries to save you the good supplies and
give you your messages first, you place a white Char Hung Sut box
tied with red plastic ribbons on their desk. Garans bo barans!
The line can be really long, but amuse yourself by watching the
chinese women deftly make mai tai sus by hand. Know what you want
because the only menu is a small, dirty, plaque tacked high on
the wall inconspicuously. Friendly fast counter service.

It's a matter of taste. This is a take out place, with
great manapua. Also, pick up a container of gung lo mein,
topped with slivers of char siu...which they make while
you wait! Talk about fresh, and tastey! Take it to the
beach, and you have a great takeout meal.

have only had the manapua here but don't really know what the fuss
is all about. a lot of people like this place though. it's just
okay. i wouldn't make a special trip to go there but i wouldn't
turn it down if i was right there.
