As fine a deli as you're going to find anywhere. This place set the
standard for all other Detroit area delis. Great sandwiches and soups.
What more do you want?

on good days you can get the best corned beef in the city but on bad
days the beef is dry and like jerky (more good days than bad) but
it's a gamble worth taking

I was disappointed by only one thing - there was no smoked fish
on the menu. I was hoping for a nice piece of whitefish or sbale.
Anyway... the corned beef here STILL rules, after being gone
from the Detroit area for 25+ years. The pickles are great. The
matzoh balls are the size of your head, and the soup is hot. This
is a Jewish style deli as it should be - with salamis hanging up,
onion rolls, halvah blocks - the works. You WILL take something
home - portions are huge. If you are not in a carnivorous mood,
try the cheese blintzes or potato latkes, which are divine. The
only thing I had that was so-so was the cold beet borscht. Tasted
like it was from a bottle, and an old one at that.

MY WIFE , AND KIDS AND MYSELF LOVE TO EAT THERE. THE CORNBEEF SANDWICHES
ARE ENOUGH TO FEED TWO ADULTS. GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD, A GOOD
PLACE TO GO TO ON A SATURDAY TO GET A GOOD SANDWICH TO GO. CAN BE A
LITTLE CROWDED BUT IF YOU DON'T MIND WAITING TEN TO TWENTY MINUTES
IT'S WORTH IT.

The food is definitely good, I would say the sandwiches are plentiful
and filling. The service is like a assembly line, but they have
to because it stays packed all the time.
