You pay everything by the pound, pointing at what you want in the pit.
Some things can be fantastic, and the flavors are always really good.
But some items, like ribs, can be a bit tough. Get the fatty brisket.

The ribs are really good here, I want to eat them everyday, lol. They
have been around for a long time and their food is excellent.
I have eaten there since I was a youth. If you ever go that way I would
recommend stopping by there, they are really good! My weight is even
dropping from the no carb diet I am on. I can eat here alot now.,

WOW! My flight instructor and I flew from San Antonio to Llano
in bad weather just for this BBQ. Price will remain under $10 if
you follow your mind and consider that you probably can't
eat 1 pound of brisket even though your nose and your stomach tell
you you can. Also, great tasting beans are free as a side order.
Highly recommended - maybe the best in Texas.

On are roadtrips back East we always make a detour to Coopers.
We love the brisket....No frills but who cares. Just follow the
locals and pick out your briskets on the outside bbq.
Great Eats...

Having owned a vacation home on Lake Buchanan for more than 25
years, I've never been able to resist a quick stop at Cooper's,
whether coming or going. I always get a bit of everything, including
the classic style cole slaw & potato salad. Always sure to please
the family and whoever else might happen along. My personal favorites
are the chicken and the pork chops. If you're stopping for a meal-to-go,
don't forget to grab some of their great pinto beans, fresh onion,
au jus & fresh jalapenos. Actually, I've been known to drive to
Cooper's just for their fresh Beef Jerkey. It is certainly the
best w/ the thickest portions anywhere in this part of the country,
although it is quite pricey & charged by weight. Who cares as long
as it is so mouth-watering delicious?

Great barbeque! I tend to overdo here because it is easy to pick
too much off the barbeque pit. Doesn't look like much when nestled
in there with all the stuff! Still, take a cooler and get a doggy
bag! I try to stop there on any trip to Austin. Great atmosphere
if you enjoy sitting elbow to elbow with a lot of folks at picnic
tables. Beans and condiments are included, all other items extra.
You can skip the other items, for sure! Don't miss this place --
you can't be in such a hurry that you go right on by!

Very casual atmosphere but the food is delicious. We chose our
portion(s) of meat from the pit. The choices included brisket,
ribs, sirloin, links, chicken and our absolute favorite - chops.
Eating off of butcher paper instead of plates is a little different,
but once you taste the bbq, it won't matter.

If you are looking to get full...go here. Best BBQ in the state, always fresh
off the pit, served family style on butcher paper. Always clean and fresh. I
drive 80 miles to get there at least 2x a month. Keep up the great job!!!

Excellent to good barbeque, you select your meat off the pit and
then go inside and pay, beans, bread and sauce included, you
have to pay more for cole slaw or potatoe salad. This is a popular
place and the food is good, but you do tend to pay more then you
would at a place that serves plates since it is too easy to
pick a lot more of the delicious looking barbeque off the pit
then you can eat.
