You'll know you are getting close when you see the lighthouse. A lighthouse in Tulsa? Don't be surprised, you'll see other contradictions. As you pull into the shopping center parking lot, you've got to be asking yourself if there could be a very good French restaurant in this type of setting. There can be, and it's called the French Hen. <br> Very nice atmosphere and almost perfect for special occasions with a special person.

The first key to the French Hen is "look for the lighthouse". The restaurant is off the street in a shopping center, but you can't miss the lighthouse, and the French Hen is right under it. I want you to find it because if I ever get back to Tulsa I WILL eat at the French Hen. I don't care much for French politics but I LOVE French food. My wife and I shared a bottle of Pouilly Fouisy and I had a wonderful cream of mushroom soup. We then shared a baby greens salad and a mixed grill entree that included quail, pheasant, and a baby beef tenderloin. Melt in your mouth good! We finished with a strawberry sorbet and coffee, and I was once again rewarded for seeking out French restaurants. If you don't like French cooking then you must be trying to live forever. Give it up, it won't work.

Very nice restaurant for special occasions. Great food with lots of style. Probably a little overboard if you want to go there all the time, but how many of us can afford that? You won't go wrong if you take your date or spouse there.

A very good Tulsa Restaraunt. They tend to go a bit off the deep end with outlandish dishes, but all in all a very good place. Excellent relaxing atmosphere as well. Probably the best wait staff in Tulsa.

This is the restaurant to visit if you are having an anniversary or really want to impress a special date. I have absolutely savored every bite I've ever eaten here from the wonderful french onion soup to the delicious desserts. I would eat at the French Hen every day if I had the bucks. By the way, the high price tag is so worth every penny.
