Kind of an upscale barbeque place. I found the ribs to be alittle
dry on one visit, but very good and tender on another. Guest I just
came on a bad day. Good atmosphere located in old warehouse with
high ceilings.

I went here for after-graduation with my class. I must say that
I was underimpressed. Perhaps I have become a barbecue snob,
but I felt that the meat that was served was too fatty and sort of
dry. It is possible however that because we were a large group
they had to leave everything out for slightly longer than they
would have, but I will never know because I don't plan on trying
them again.

People giving the bad reviews must be going to the wrong place.
The price of the avg. entree that they quote seems to lend itself
to that fact. I think the food is a little overpriced, but the amount
and quality are hard to beat. Meat is tender, beans are good with
extra something special. The wait is always a little long. I normally
go to the one at the Plaza.

Wonderful place for BBQ and ribs. I've been to this one and
the one in Kansas and both are unbeatable. While the one Kansas-side
is more scaled down, this one seems like a classier version. Almost
to the point that you feel bad wiping your mouth on the pristine
napkin. The food here is fantastic and the service excellent.

I have been to several locations this BBQ joint has around KC.
Mostly I was taken there by friends and have not gone myself. The
food is OK. This is the barbecue joint I have found where you get
the least amount of food for the most amount of money. The beans
are noted as being the best in KC and they are good but the amount
you are served is about 1 ounce!!! That's about a tablespoon
folks!!! This place has been rated #1 in the nation. I am not sure
by who but it is obvious they have never eaten at other BBQ joints
around Kansas City.

Great place for a sandwich. The cheesy-corn is great but anything
else is alittle pricey for BQ. I'll stick with Gates or Hayward's
BQ for the price and quality of food!

I have been to this resturant several times over the past year.
EVERY time I visited the service was excellent food was above
the average barbque in Kansas City. The Arkansas Topper is
possibly the best chicken entree I have ever had. The Ribs are
wonderful too.

This one needs some work. They have a great advertising campaign
but, should spend more on hiring good help and finding a way to
prepare the meat that dosen't dry it out so much.

BBQ in Kansas City is certainly a difficult topic to address.
Supposedly, Kansas City is the capitol of BBQ. Bearing that in
mind, you must understand that there is a lot of competition for
that sort of fare in this area.
My last experience in this establishment left much to be desired.
I had a BBQ'd beef sandwich. It left much to be desired.
The meat was dry to my palate. The sauce did nothing to bring
out the flavor of the meat.
The service was lackadaisical at best. I understand they do a
brisk lunch business there do to much construction in the area.
I certainly hope the laborers are treated with better service
than I was.
I was dressed casually. That is the common attire at this
establishment.
I could see that a great deal was spent on the decorum for this
establishment. I could only suggest that the money would be
better spent on the the people that cook the food and serve it.
