I would have given it another star if we were judging strictly on the quality of the food. Everything tasted very good and ALMOST made up for the service. Why is it necessary for us to be hurried when nobody else is there? A little attention to detail and friendly attitude will bring the extra customers necessary to pull off the atmosphere they are striving for. Don't get me wrong though, the food is very, very good.

I expected much more from this cafeteria. Yes, I said cafeteria. I had lunch there at about 1:00PM to avoid the lunch crowd. There wasn't a crowd at all, but the entire dining area was filled with dirty tables. I had to clean a table myself to sit down. The entrees were affordable, but were hardly spectacular. Everything seemed to be a la cart, so eventhough the entree was affordable, by the time you added a side and a beverage lunch was well over $10. The service was lacksidaisical...sort of a take it or leave it attitude. I left less than satisfied in terms of cuisine, in terms of price and in terms of service.

Good food and always a friendly and helpful staff. Rice pudding is a must-try. I've noticed that even some of the most selective of diners frequent this restaurant.

Cafeteria style, steam tables, consistently excellent. Have never been disappointed here in 20 plus years (or so).
