This a ture legend in restraunts in the Birmingham area. The Bright
Star had been around for many years and has not changed very much
over the years. The prices are high but well worth the money for
great sea food and steaks. You can go at lunch for a smaller version
and cheaper versions of the same great diners. I highly recommend
the Bight Star.

I have never had a remotely poor meal at the Bright Star. The Greek
Snapper is incredibly good as is the gumbo. The service is always
flawless. Although it is moderately expensive, you do not have
to wear a jacket; some people wear jeans. Lunch here is also great
and much less expensive. Try the fried Snapper Throats.

Is the kind of place I can take a date or my mom and be confident that
everything will be just fine. Great steak and seafood dishes
and excellent service. Easy parking in beautiful downtown Bessemer.
My favorite is the crab au gratin but anything on their menu is
most excelent. Be ready to wait on most evenings, though it is
well worth it. They even jumped my car off once when I left my lights
on and killed my battery.
