This is a remarkably good Chinese restaurant to find outside a major metropolitan area. I have taken over a hundred guests here over the past ten years, and whether they are from Chicago, St. Louis, New York, or Los Angeles, they have gone away amazed that Chinese food this good is available in southern Illinois. Lunch is very reasonable, and the dinner prices and selections are both pleasant surprises. If there is something you really want and it's not on the menu, just ask. Often they will make a dish just for you if they have the fresh ingredients on hand. If you're someone who likes a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere, there is no better restaurant in Carbondale.
