This is the gold standard for a burrito. Go with carnitas (wonderfully crunchy) or carne asada. The chicken can be a bit too wet and soupy. Don't even think of getting a regular, one must have a super burrito to appreciate this place. It's better than La Costena where you will wait longer and pay more since they will nickel and dime you for every ingredient. Let the master make it for you here, you won't complain.

Taqueria La Bamba has the best carnitas burritos I've tried: the meat is crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. Also, they heat their tortillas on the griddle rather than with steam, so you don't get a burrito or taco wrapped in a gummy, chewy mess like most other places. The pupusas are great too!

Mmmmm. Yummy Quesadila Suiza. Nice spices, lots O cheeze. This place is a fast moving' hole in the wall that serves tasty food. Recommend for a quick lunch, not a dinner date.

There are so many Mexican restaurants in the area and this is another good one. Its dark and dingy, but the food is wonderful. I usually get my food to go as its usually very crowded and there are a few chairs to sit and eat. The line can be long, but the service is pretty quick.

I have been eating here for about 10 years now, and I go at least once a month. My favorites: tacos - carne asada and al pastor. The asada and salsa are very fresh tasting, and the al pastor is particularly mouth watering. If you're really hungry, a super burrito al pastor is a filling treat. Also, the pupusas are generally great. The cabbage filling is well spiced and crisp. Yum.

LaBamba has the best soft tacos. Delicious corn tortilla. Try the vegetarian. Their carnitas and carne asada great. Also their pork tama very good with salsa fresca.

This is the best burrito place in Mountain View! No waiting in line for 10 minutes like at La Costena or Burrito Real. And no gummy tortilllas like at La Costena or Burrito Real. Check it out!

Great burrito (and other stuff) place. It's been around from when burrito houses weren't so popular, and they lasted and stayed great thru time. They're a bargain in the food market, and their quality is very good. They have a menu to pick from, much like most burrito places. And if you are more particular about the individual ingredients, go next door to La Costena, which will cost you more, but you can 'customize'.
